A funeral marks the end of a person’s life here on earth. Family and friends come together to grieve, give thanks for the life lived, and commend the person into God’s care.
Anyone can have a funeral service at St Nicolas as their local parish church, whether they attended church or not. Some people prefer a service to be held in a chapel at one of our local crematoria. Whatever your choice, St Nicolas Church is there to support you and tailor the service to include the music, readings and tributes that you choose.
Contact any of our clergy team or the Parish Office for help and advice after a bereavement, or simply tell the funeral director you’d like a Church of England service. Our Pastoral Care team is also there for you.
Our church is open every day if you need somewhere to be quiet.
