Fair Trade at St Nicolas |
|
We are a fair trade church – that means we use only fairly traded tea, coffee and sugar in our refreshments, and we are proud to be one of the first parishes in the area to use fairly-traded communion wine. Roughly once a month, usually after a 10 o’clock service, there is a stall in church selling fair-trade goods from Traidcraft. We stock a range of foods such as tea, coffee, chocolate, pasta, biscuits etc. If you need something at other times, please let me know and I’ll look in the cupboard! Other items from the Traidcraft catalogue, such as jewellery, cards and clothes, can be ordered (with no delivery charge). There are Traidcraft catalogues in church or you can browse the website www.TraidcraftShop.co.uk. Fair Trade is becoming more widely available in shops and supermarkets these days so always keep a look out for the logo.
